CLaSS tutorials are 30-minute appointments with a lecturer who specialises in writing and study skills strategies.
Tutorials can be booked by students on any year of their study.
Lecturers are happy to provide feedback on any aspect of study and writing with practical strategies to progress with your university or professional development. Topics include, but are not limited to:

Planning your essay

Structuring a report

Organising your time

Writing in an appropriate academic style

Being critical
In a tutorial, lecturers can provide feedback on a sample of your writing, no longer than 500 words.
Lecturers can also provide feedback on:

the topic of your assignment or a research project

your notes or first draft of an assignment
-
approaching an assignment brief
To help lecturers provide more relevant advice, you might also wish to share:

an assignment plan
-
your module guide or other guidelines relevant to your writing

written feedback from previous assignments
We cannot:

Proofread your work. However, we can offer resources and strategies to help you develop your own proofreading.

Help you with the subject content of your assignment, but we may ask you to explain the assignment and describe your ideas.
To book a tutorial simply, click the link at the top right of this page to go to our online booking site, select a time slot that is convenient to you, and confirm your booking by completing the online booking form.
