Welcome to the new E-tutorials!

CLaSS are pleased to introduce a NEW self-booking e-tutorial service open to all students. A CLaSS lecturer will spend 30 minutes reviewing a sample of your writing (no more than 500 words) or consider a series of questions you may have, and provide feedback.

Please note that, to give as many students as possible the chance to access our services, we ask you to limit your bookings to one tutorial per week.

WHEN will I get my feedback?

You have TWO options:

You will make your selection when you book the e-tutorial.

1. Feedback via email

If you choose this option, your feedback will be emailed to your student email address at the end of your booking slot. You can either provide your draft at the time of booking or email it 1 HOUR before your booking time. Instructions on how to do this will be emailed to you in the booking confirmation.

2. Feedback via live Libchat

Feedback will be provided in a live chat with a CLaSS lecturer. You will need to log on 5 minutes before your booking time. Login instructions will be emailed to you in the booking confirmation.

Please ensure that you are in a quiet space and can use the computer microphone or a headset with a mic.

WHAT can an e-tutorial do?

A CLaSS lecturer will provide advice on the aspects of your writing you have indicated as your main concerns. This could include structure, argument, critical analysis, academic style etc.

WHAT happens to my personal data?

Please note that information you provide will be recorded in keeping with the CLaSS data usage policy and may be used for statistical, training and research purposes. The recorded information is only available to the CLaSS team and will not be disclosed unless legally obliged to do so.
