What is the Academic Writing drop-in?

Our academic writing drop-in gives you the opportunity to speak with a tutor about any aspect of your academic writing, including:

  • Approaching an assignment
  • Effective study
  • Effective reading
  • Using evidence
  • Academic writing

Drop-in operates on a first-come-first-served basis – so no booking needed.

To allow tutors to see as many students as possible drop-in slots are kept to 10 minutes.

Note: Students can access up to 8 academic writing drop-in slots per term. If usage exceeds 8 visits, alternative support options may be discussed.

Where is drop-in?

Drop-in takes place in the Learning Development Zone (LDZ) in Kimberlin Library
