Welcome to the IEEE Referencing guide. This guide provides you with information and links to enable you to find out more about referencing in the IEEE style. (Usually used by Engineering)
This is a guide to the IEEE system but you should always check your course handbook and/or module outline for any further guidance, as your lecturers may prefer a different style of referencing. The guide covers most sources you are likely to use, but if you have any queries, further help is available either at the first floor information desk in the Kimberlin Library, or by visiting Just Ask
Use the tabs above to find out how to reference a range of different resources.
If you wish to explore referencing generally or consider other referencing schemes please click below for the DMU Referencing Guide.
Remember, it is always advisable to consult the person for whom you are writing, whether a tutor or an editor, as to which style of referencing they want you to use.
