Library Disability Services: Equipment

Loop systems for hearing aid users at desks, plus portable options for other locations.

Coloured overlays may help if you experience visual disturbance or stress when reading. We have a limited supply of these to give to students. We also have a full range of colours available to borrow whilst working in the library.

Computer adaptations such as left-handed keyboard, low vision keyboards and ergonomic mice.

Magnifiers
	Ruby Handheld Electronic Magnifier The RUBY handheld video magnifier is a small and lightweight digital magnifier with a 4.3-inch, full-colour screen. The RUBY can be placed flat on a surface, or the handle unfolded to use it like a standard magnifying glass and see everything with enhanced contrast. You can also change the text and background colour combinations.
