Our library spaces provide areas for both collaborative and silent study as well as group work. To book a disability study room please click on the green button below.
Disabled parking spaces are available at the rear of the Kimberlin Library on a first-come-first-served basis to permit holders. Blue Badge holders can apply for a free permit through the Estates Department. DMU car park staff can direct you to these spaces. See more details below. There is a ramp into the Library.
Automatic Doors
Doors in the Library foyer are automatic. To release them manually, press the pad on the right at the top of the ramp. You can exit by this means too - the pad is located on the right as you leave the Library.
Entrance and Exit
The entrance to and exit from the Library has turnstiles. To bypass these you can use the wheelchair accessible gate which you can operate by scanning your University ID card. To register your card for this purpose speak to staff at the Reception Desk.
Lifts
A lift to all levels is available for your use if you require it. To obtain a temporary lift key ask a member of staff in the main foyer area. If you wish to be issued with a key permanently contact the Library Disability Team at libdis@dmu.ac.uk.
