When you import a reference into RefWorks it goes into a Last Imported folder. This is a temporary folder so you need to create a permanent folder to store your references.
Select New Folder to create a folder which you can name yourself.
A range of online resources such as Library Search, Library Catalogue and databases have the option to export directly into RefWorks. A few databases allow indirect import to RefWorks.

You can directly import references from Google Scholar into RefWorks. From Scholar settings select Bibliography Manager and then Show links to import citations ...
Choose RefWorks. Click Save. Now any search you conduct within Google Scholar will present you with the option to import the citation into RefWorks.
Note, currently you are only able to import references one at a time from Google Scholar.
There may be occasions when the resource you are utilising is not online or, even if it is, may not have the facility to import the reference directly. In such circumstances then there is the ability to add the reference manually into RefWorks.
In RefWorks select References then Add New. Then select your referencing style and the type of resource you are using and you will be prompted to add details to create a full reference.
