New library discovery system

DMU Library has made the switch to a new online discovery service! 

The new Library Search service connects DMU students and staff to electronic journal articles, eBooks and other online content provided by the university. The switch to a new discovery tool is part of a shift in online technologies that better support and enable users of our service to meet the demands of a modern university

Some of the benefits of the new library discovery tool include:

• Direct PDF linking to online journal articles and eBooks
• Links to both full text content and metadata information
• More visible content provider custom-linking to electronic content 
• DMU Dubai library books promoted for international students based at the university's Dubai campus
• FigShare (research data management) content accessible

There is ongoing implementation work at the library to further improve, and refine, the new discovery tool. This includes the configuration of seamless access to subscribed online content made available as part of new university journal agreements with Elsevier and Taylor & Francis.
