Assistive Technology (AT): Computers & AT Software

The Assistive Technology (AT) Guide provides you with information about assistive software and training in the library.
There are currently restrictions on access to our spaces due to COVID-19 and the need for social distancing. We will re-open our spaces once we are able to do so safely and within Covid-19 guidelines. The information here will be updated soon. In the meantime, please see this Library Spaces page for up to date information on space access.

 

We currently have 2 Assistive Technology (AT) PC in the Library: 1st floor and the Postgraduate Room.

Access software and computers remotely

New for this academic year, DMU has introduced the Your DMU Labs service to allow you to securely access the resources you need to assist you with your studies remotely from home. 

Physical PCs in labs and open access spaces on campus that are not in use for face to face teaching are now able to be accessed from anywhere.

Open Access Assistive Technology (AT) PCs

  • 1 x AT PC in the Postgraduate room, Kimberlin, Lower Ground Floor.
  • 1 x AT PC, Kimberlin, 1st floor (behind the IT helpdesk).
  • Access AT PC via YourDMULabs remote service.
USB headsets are available on all AT PCs in the library.
