Library Engagement Project: Engagement

We ran a series of pop-ups during Summer term 2023 for the first phase of project engagement. We asked "What do you LOVE about the library?" "What do you HATE about the library?" and "What would your wish be for the library, what would you add that we don't have or do already?"

All of this feedback will help inform the Library Development Project, but we're delighted to have been able to act on some of your feedback during our #KLsummerRefresh activities. During summer 2023 we have:

• Replaced our access system with modern glass gates with wider standard lanes and an additional, wide lane
• Added four new "study pod" rooms to Kimberlin ground floor for group working
• Renewed the LED wall lighting in our individual study rooms that you love
• Added six additional six person study booths (Deck and First Floor)
• Replaced the tables in all of our study booths to give better ergonomic working
• Added more of the mesh backed comfortable operator chairs
• Brought in new comfy seating for the Deck study tables and the new study pods

DSU are partners in the development of this project. Your elected Exec sit on the strategic project board and in consultation meetings. We're talking to elected DSU officers and to your Course Reps as the project progresses.
