You can use the service up to 5 times to get 24/7 study help

As a DMU student, you already have a Studiosity account, click Read me First to find out more or  'Get started' to take a look around. You can use the service up to five times in this academic year 2023/2024. You can use the service for one-to-one Live Chat to help you plan an assignment or discuss maths and science question. Or you can also upload a file of your writing assignment draft to receive feedback on your language and structure within 24 hours.

What's inside?

  • Live, one-to-one chat for skills help across all subjects at all school levels through to tertiary bridging/ access/ foundation/ pathways levels.
  • 24/7 writing feedback focusing on language and structure and referencing help supported by Citation Assist to prevent unintentional plagiarism
  • Studiosity mobile app which you can use when you're out and about

Tips:

  • Remember that you need to give yourself enough time to work upon writing feedback or complete complex mathematical task within topics such as algebra, logarithms and indices.
  • Try to submit a draft or get in touch as soon as you can. You'll get it back in less than 24 hours, but you'll still need time to consider and act on the feedback you get. Academic Skills Support can help you to understand the feedback, and guide you through the process of improving your skills.
  • Academic Skills Support, as well as Studiosity, are available to all DMU students, regardless of the programme and level that you are currently studying.

Studiosity will NOT:

  1. Provide you with a predictive mark of your assessment or advise you on your assignment content.
  2. Replace support available from the Academic Skills Support Team, your tutors, and if you are an international student, our Centre for English Language Learning.
  3. Proofread your work and correct language mistakes or solve mathematical equations.
  4. Assess your critical writing and evaluative skills
  5. Check the credibility of sources that you used in your assessment and if you applied your faculty referencing guidelines.
  6. Provide Turnitin similarity score or generate Turnitin report
