Welcome to Library and Learning Services. In the menu you can find out about the wide range of services and resources we offer to help you safely enjoy success in your studies.
The Kimberlin Library is open to students for studying and browsing of print collections. You currently do not need to make an advance booking to use any of the learning spaces. You do require your ID card to access the learning spaces and borrow items, so do not forget to bring it with you.
Our friendly and helpful staff are here to help and support you with your studies, plus you will find lots of guidance online to help you navigate your way around the library and materials in your subject area.
As we have reduced study space capacity due to social distancing protocols we will be limiting the number of students who can study in the building at anyone time.
Please note there will also be no group study available. To allow fair access for all, please aim to limit your visit to three hours at at time.
We offer individual and silent learning environments. Don’t forget to bring your student ID card with you, as you will need it to access the learning spaces. You can study in spaces across the campus.
To ensure you have the best experience possible when using the library, please follow social distance protocols, use the library for individual study only (no group study is available), follow the one way system in place, regularly wash your hands and wear face coverings at all times, in all areas of the library, except when eating or drinking, when it needs to be replaced afterwards.
In addition cleaning stations are distributed around the Kimberlin Library, Eric Wood and the Greenhouse so that you can clean the study desk, PCs and printers before and after you use them.
We have revised opening hours this term. Please check our Opening hours before you visit. You can also access many of the library's resources online 24 hours a day, wherever you have Internet access.
#YourLibrary: Explore what your library has to offer you on the Library Trail! Follow the trail round the four floors and find out where everything is. You can use the trail as a guide around the building, or have a look before you come and visit us so you know what to expect.
