De Montfort University purchases a high number of online resources, e-books and e-journals each year for the benefit of its students and staff. DMU Library interacts with external publishers and partners to provide effective and efficient delivery of online content to its users via systems such as Library Search, Resource Lists Online and the Library Catalogue.
From time to time, library users may experience problems accessing online content they wish to use. These problems may be caused by many different factors, varying from publishers' updating their online platforms to specific issues with a user's computer or device set up. DMU Library liaises with users and suppliers to troubleshoot access difficulties and restore coverage to online resources and systems as quickly as possible.
The following guide has been created by the DMU Library's Content Delivery Team to provide guidance for users when they face problems connecting to online content. The guide highlights current known problems or downtime issues which may be affecting access to library resources and systems, whilst also offering library users simple checks and general troubleshooting tips they can apply themselves to try and correct access faults.
