We are absolutely thrilled to announce the arrival of the third delivery of the legendary fashion designer, Dame Zandra Rhodes's archival collection.
As explained in our previous posts, Rhodes is a fashion icon known for her pioneering designs and bold colourful prints.

You can read more about her and the collection on our catalogue and in our previous blog posts:
Archivist, David made the journey down to London on Tuesday to collect the next lorry load of materials. Before setting about the heavy lifting, he got a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the stores and the items selected for transfer.
Above: at Rhodes' studio and making sure everything loaded into the lorry is stacked securely for the journey back to the archive.
Having seen the wondrous items unpacked from previous delievries -- jewellery, a tent, handbags, illustrations, cost books, theatre maquettes and more -- we can't wait to unpack this new batch.

Above: we love this old trunk -- what's inside?
Below you can find a sneak peek as we prepare to organise, repackage and catalogue the latest items.
Sketches, posters and images relating to Rhodes' opera set and costumes designs.
Cost books and administrative documents.
Home decor designs and samples including this bathroom set with loo lid cover! Now who remembers those?
Fabric samples.
And, of course, inside the trunk there are plenty of treasures to explore! Watch this space and our catalogue for more updates on the Rhodes' collection.
