Borrow, Renew, Return: Request Services

Requesting items to be sent to me

The library offers a range of off-campus request services to our students, whether you are self isolating, studying and commuting in from home or on a distance learning, part time or apprenticeship course.

Please click below for the request services that meet your needs.  Please be aware that, whilst there is no charge for placing requests through the Postal Books Loans Service, you will need to pay the cost of return postage which should be done by recorded delivery.

The rules around book loans that apply when you're on campus, such as fines for late return and the need to return books which have been reserved, also apply to postal loan items, so you would need to bring back / post items you receive via postal loan if they are reserved by other students.  If a book you have on loan has been requested by another student, you will need to bring it back onto campus or post it back to us within 7 days.

Request Services

Please use the links below to request the postal loan of library books and copies of journal articles, where electronic copies of the book / article are not available.  Please be aware that, if an e-copy of an article or book is available, you will be expected to use the e-version unless your have particularly difficulties in doing so.
