Blackboard Environment: What is Blackboard

Blackboard Guide

What is Blackboard?

Blackboard is a web based virtual learning environment used at DMU to support your learning, teaching and assessment. Blackboard provides access to online teaching sessions, learning materials from any computer with internet access.

Teaching sessions will be a mix of online synchronous – live scheduled sessions and online asynchronous sessions which may be pre-recorded content. These technologies can include Blackboard collaborate or MS Teams for virtual live classrooms or DMU Replay for recorded content. Any sessions recorded should be available in your respective Blackboard modules.
