Library and Learning Services.

Welcome to the De Montfort University library.

Prospective visitors should be aware that there will be no walk-in access for visitors at De Montfort University’s Kimberlin Library from Monday 3rd April – Friday 12th May inclusive.

Additionally, no membership cards will be created for any new external library users from Monday 3rd April – Friday 12th May inclusive. This will restrict access to this library from members of the public, students from local colleges / 6th Forms and SCONUL users from other universities. Library access by external members who already have a library card is unaffected. Access to the Archives is also unaffected. This restriction is intended to cap external use of our Kimberlin Library during a time of peak demand by our own student body, when study space is at a premium.

Welcome to Library and Learning Services

An introduction to help you to make the most of DMU Library and Learning Services

Library Study Room Booking

The library has bookable study rooms for group and individual work. We have ten syndicate rooms for group working (8 x Kimberlin, 2 x Law Library), six individual study rooms and two Assistive Technology rooms for registered users. These rooms can be booked online for study use by DMU students up to 10 days in advance. A limit of two bookings per week (maximum four slots per booking) applies and your Single Sign-On username and password is required. Walk-up bookings may also be made at the door of each study room for available slots. A booking kiosk for Kimberlin syndicate rooms is available in the reception area of the Kimberlin Library.
